Document format
What is a PPTX file?
PPTX is Microsoft PowerPoint's presentation format, storing slides, layouts, transitions, and speaker notes.
PPTX followed the same Office 2007 shift to Office Open XML that produced DOCX and XLSX, replacing the older binary .ppt format with a zipped XML structure describing each slide's layout, text, media, and transitions. Because the format is openly documented, other presentation tools — Google Slides, Apple Keynote, LibreOffice Impress — can import and export it with reasonable fidelity, though complex animations and custom fonts are the most common things that don't survive a round-trip through a different app perfectly.
How to open a PPTX file
