1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Orbfile (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the Service.

2. What Orbfile is

Orbfile provides image, video, audio, PDF, and office-document conversion tools that run entirely inside your web browser using local WebAssembly engines. No file you convert is uploaded to, or processed by, any server. Because everything runs on your own device, the speed, reliability, and output of each tool depend in part on your browser and hardware.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Orbfile to:

  • Process files you don't have the legal right to convert, copy, or modify.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the Service beyond normal use.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.

4. Your content

You retain full ownership of any files you convert with Orbfile. Since conversions happen locally in your browser, we never receive, store, or have access to your files at any point. You are solely responsible for the files you choose to process and for keeping your own backups.

5. Local storage of engines

With your consent, Orbfile may cache the WebAssembly conversion engines themselves (not your files) in your browser's local storage so future visits load faster. You can decline this or clear it at any time; see our Privacy Policy for details.

6. No warranty

Orbfile is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. Conversion quality and compatibility can vary by file, browser, and device.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orbfile and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will update the “Last updated” date above.
